kind words from past clients

Working with J Okoye Wellness has been life-changing. I came in overwhelmed, anxious, and stuck in patterns I didn’t fully understand. From our very first session, I felt heard and supported without judgment. The tools and insights I’ve gained have helped me navigate difficult conversations, manage my anxiety, and show up more confidently in my relationships.

"I feel like I can breathe again."

- Mindy, therapy client

I had tried therapy before, but my experience at J Okoye Wellness felt different. There was a deep sense of safety that allowed me to open up about things I had never said out loud. The approach was both validating and practical — I didn’t just talk about my struggles, I learned how to move through them. I’ve grown more in a few months than I have in years.

"I stopped Doing 'too much' and i love it"

- kait, life coaching client

J Okoye Wellness created an environment where I could explore my identity, boundaries, and healing at my own pace. Each session felt intentional and empowering. I walked away with clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of who I am. Therapy here felt collaborative — like having a trusted partner in my growth.

"I didn’t feel like I had to shrink myself."

- jane, therapy client

frequently asked questions

There's a wide range of what's normal after having a baby, and there's also a point where it's worth having support. In our first session, we'll talk through what you're experiencing and figure out together whether this is something to keep an eye on or something we should actively work on now. You don't have to diagnose yourself before reaching out.

Both, and more. Postpartum depression gets most of the attention, but anxiety, rage, intrusive thoughts, and just feeling completely unlike yourself are all things I work with regularly. If something feels off, that's reason enough to reach out — you don't need a specific diagnosis first.

Sessions are conversational, not clinical — we talk through what's actually happening in your day-to-day and build from there at your pace. Many clients start as early as a few weeks postpartum; there's no minimum wait. Reach out whenever you're ready, and we'll find a time that works around your baby's schedule, not the other way around.

Add a little final note here of encouragement.

i hope you know...

you don't have to wait until you hit rock bottom to ask for help.
