Because someone you trust recognized you needed a little more support right now and I'm honored to answer the call
Everything is new, including the fact that no one warned you it could feel like this. You're allowed to not have it figured out yet.
You've done this before, which is exactly why you know something is different this time and that it's time to find some help.
You're tired of "you're doing great" from people who aren't really looking. You want someone who will tell you what's going on.
I'm not equipped to support active psychiatric crisis or postpartum psychosis; those situations need a higher level of care, and I keep a referral list ready so you're never left without somewhere to go.
I also focus specifically on the birthing parent's experience, so if you're a partner looking for support, I'm happy to point you toward someone who specializes in that. Check out the additional resources for more info.
In our first session, I want to understand what your day looks like (because you are more than a laundry list of symptoms).
one that might include EMDR for the intrusive thoughts, CBT for the guilt loop, or IPT for the relationship and identity shifts
Postpartum isn't static, and neither is our work together. Each stage is a different set of good, bad, and ugly that we get to work through!
Add a little final note here of encouragement.
i hope you know...
